China Excursion 2010 Daily Coverage
The China Excursion Daily Coverage brings you personal updates from the students, including the Mastery Academy Team, as they follow Joey Yap through various breathtaking Feng Shui sites in China during the Excursion. These updates give you a glimpse of the day-by-day learning experience and adventure through the eyes of the students. Although nothing can match the actual experience of being in China amongst the amazing landforms and breathtaking Feng Shui sites, we hope these updates will allow you to share some of the excitement and energy of the China Excursion Series.

Day 1 - Sunrise in Tai Yuan
October 20, 2010 (Wednesday)
Before the adventure begins, students from all over the world gathered at the starting point - Tai Yuan, the capital of Shanxi province in China - to meet and mingle as Joey welcomes everyone to the week-long Excursion. He kicks it off with an orientation and workshop to familiarize all attendees about Luan Tou (Landform) terminologies and its fundamentals.

Day 2 - The Majestic Wu Tai Shan
October 21, 2010 (Thursday)
For the first time ever, the Excursion entourage heads to the majestic Wu Tai Shan or Mount Wu Tai. Literally translated at the "Five Plateau Mountain", Wu Tai Shan is considered one of the four most sacred Buddhist mountains in China and is home to many important monasteries and temples. Joey brings his students to evaluate one of the major temples, Ta Yuan Temple.

Day 3 - Ancient Walled City of Ping Yao
October 22, 2010 (Friday)
Joey leads his students to explore the scenic Wu Ye and Ling Feng temples at the start of the day. From here, the group heads down to the ancient city of Ping Yao. Ping Yao is renowned for its well-preserved ancient city walls from the Ming and Qing dynasties, which measures up to twelve meters high with a four-meter deep moat outside.

Day 4 - A Trip to the Prime Minister's Village
October 23, 2010 (Saturday)
Before leaving Ping Yao, the group stops by Pei Bai Village, once home to well-known former Prime Minister. Then the journey continues to Luo Yang, the prefecture city of western Hunan province.

Day 5 - Getting to Know Millionaire Kang and the Green Dragon
October 24, 2010 (Sunday)
It's a day of taking a closer look at Heavenly Door and Earthly Gate formations at two beautiful destinations. Armed with Luo Pans, Joey guides his students as they assessed Kang Bai Wan or "Millionaire Kang" Mansions. This was followed by a journey to assessed a temple at Qing Long Shan or Green Dragon Mountain, a place known for its strong spiritual energies.

Day 6 – Admiring the Recoiling Dragon
October 25, 2010 (Monday)
Joey and his students admired the beauty of a rare formation called 'Recoiling Dragon' as they assessed the Quan Zhen Temple on Qing Cheng Shan, or Green City Mountain.

Day 7 - Memorable Mount E Mei
October 26, 2010 (Tuesday)
A little drizzle stopped no one in the entourage to journey through the legendary Mount E Mei. Joey brought his students to explore and assess Fu Hu and Bao Guo temples on the final day of the China Excursion and found some surprises along the way.

Part II Day 1 - Taking in the Beauty of Potala Palace
October 29, 2010 (Friday)
Those joining the second part of the Excursion will congregate in Lhasa, the capital of Tibet. This marks the second visit into Tibet for the China Excursion Series since 2007. The Tibet Excursion begins at the historical ensemble of Potala Palace, once the chief residence of the Dalai Lama.

Part II Day 2 - Temple-Hopping in Tibet
October 30, 2010 (Saturday)
Joey and his students start of the day early with a visit to Jokhang Temple, reputed to be the ultimate pilgrimage destination for Tibetan Buddhist disciples.

After returning from the China/Tibet Excursion recently, Sherwin Ng reflects on what insights he had gained on Feng Shui, and shares memories of his experience and observations throughout the journey with Joey Yap and his students.
