Heavenly Door, Earthly Gate (I)

The Kang Bai Wan Mansions is another huge complex of houses, complete with stables, and a separate wing for guests to stay. The most obvious difference between the Kang Mansions compared to the ones we saw in previous days was the large spaces available in between sections of buildings. This would allow Qi to settle and gather throughout the entire walled-complex area.

The entire Kang Mansions sits on the side of a Huge Door Star... after all, Kang Bai Wan means 'Millionaire Kang'.

Most of the students quickly managed to detect that every housing unit had its own Table Mountain, along with a facing direction that complies to 3 Auspicious 6 Elegance. But as always, Joey had more to teach us on the greater external structure of forms.

From a higher vantage point, we were shown the left and right embraces, crossing at the direction of SE3. The Table Mountain to the East is a unique Huge Door star that protrudes outwards, forming a 'Rising Water' condition where Qi that gathers at the stomach of the water is pushed back towards the main mountain, which was where the entire Kang Mansions sat. The main Huge Door is also a special 'Earth Producing Metal Heavenly Wealth' sub-type, as seen from the slight bumps formed on the Earth Star.

Most interesting of all was the fact that the embraces closed the Water Mouth at SE3, with mountain in NW3, forming the Heavenly Door and Earthly Gate formation. According to the 'Snow Heart' Classics, under such circumstances, the meridian spot will be found near the center of this axis – where Kang Mansions quietly sat.

What Participants Say About the 2010 Excursion:

Heavenly Door, Earthly Gate (II)

After lunch we travelled one hour uphill to Qing Long Shan, or Green Dragon Mountain. The journey up to the main gates were unassuming, right until everyone came down from the bus, and were astounded by the multiple Fairy Bridges in the vicinity – this meant that we were entering Feng Shui spiritual grounds. We had to then take a bugee ride into the deeper parts of the mountains where a temple awaited.

On the ride down to the temple we noticed the rocky Greedy Wolf Stars, indicative of spiritual energy, along with Earth Stars in 'Scroll' formations, which indicated spiritual studies. Passing by a huge lake of water, we could clearly see the 'Praying Palms' Wood Star formation pointing towards the site.

The Luo Pan showed SE3 for the temple doors, as well as all of its three main prayer halls. Right behind were stairs leading up to a higher shrine – the vantage point we needed. But what we saw there surprised us – the highest shrine was built just facing the hill that was the meridian vein! From this vantage point we could see the Water Mouth exit being closed by three layers of embraces, and also locked by a North Guardian (emperor-producing site? After all, this spot was selected by an emperor looking to rebuild his kingdom during the Sung dynasty)

Right above the vein was a majestic rocky Greedy Wolf, also in Praying Palms formation. The Table Mountain further down that locked in the vein's Qi was a Prayer Seat formation. Various Nobleman Stars sat within the Left Embrace, and overall, you could see that this was a true Spiral City with three layers of mountains protecting this spot, like a lotus.

From a spiritual perspective, the concentration of energy would not be at the highest shrine, but the smaller shrine located directly below it, the 'White Robed Kuan Yin'. Walking into this place you might be able to feel a sudden surge of energy and emotions. A trained Feng Shui eye would instantly realize that this middle shrine was built right into the vein, and the shrine above served to stop the vein flow and send the Qi downwards. The stairway that led to the upper shrine would also serve as Cicada Wings to channel superfluous Qi down to the middle shrine's Bright Hall.

Before the day was over, we stopped midway at the lake that was the Water Mouth of the entire formation. Looking back towards the main Dragon, you can clearly see the Nobleman Under the Canopy formation, in the shape of a Fire Star, or a Monk Hat sub-type. Its name explains its function.

With Fairy Bridges, Praying Palms, rocky Greedy Wolf, Fire Star, and the entire temple sitting on the Heavenly Door-Earthly Gate axis... this might be one of the most spiritually charged temples ever yet! (I'll let you know once I get to Er Mei Mountain, another spiritually-charged location)

Joey summed it all up for us nicely – Feng Shui was not only used in ancient times for building tombs and palaces. Temples were also required to get their Feng Shui right. After all, a temple with lousy Feng Shui would make it difficult for the prayers of the people to reach anywhere.

'Feng Shui is the study of Earth to help people connect with Heaven... if you get it right'

Blessings to the Mastery Academy team back home for all the hard work; and a special prayer to those facing challenging changes in their personal lives now.
